Fall baby

Another coworker of mine is having a baby so I decided to make a baby quilt for him. This is his and his wife's first child -- and it's a girl! The baby will be bornNovember 15. I had lots of green, red, pink and teal scraps from quilts I made for grandma, Cerys, and the Christmas quilt I'm making for myself. I bought approx one yard of fabric to finish this 50x50" baby blanket:

  1. Hi Robin, it's Kim, Jon's wife. I'm not sure if you know, since Jon is no longer working for the city, but we are expecting our second (and final) child in February 2015 - another girl! If you are still making quilts, I would love to pay you to make one for her too - I really love the one you made for Charlotte. Doesn't have to be the same colors of course, I'm actually very flexible on that. Let me know if you are interested and we can work out the details. Thanks and I hope you are doing well!

    1. Hi Kim! I did know you are pregnant again but hadn’t heard that it’s another girl! Congrats! I’d be happy to make another baby quilt! I have been busy sewing for my own niece who was born 12/16 but if you would want one similar to the next one I make for her, I can make them at the same time, no problem. I have lots of left over pink fabrics from her other quilts so I was going to use all of them plus some dark, charcoal gray. More modern looking than Charlotte’s quilt. If you want to look it up, I’m thinking about making all HSTs in pink and gray (something like this but darker gray and where the red and teal fabrics are, it’d be pink: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3dsixZkEZRA/UavDUkSMxCI/AAAAAAAAAvY/G30pOsT9Ksg/s1600/IMG_0979+-+Copy.JPG ) and the grey fabric would be ‘Kona Charcoal’. I actually might have some pinks from Charlotte’s quilt. Let me know if this would work for you.
