Baby Logan

I made this baby quilt for a friend of my sister's who is having her first baby (a boy!) in mid May. I used Moda Little Apples and Moda solid steel for the background.

Robot and bubbly beaker

On April 29 a group of us saw the Professor Blastoff podcast crew perform. Kyle Dunnigan, David Huntsberger and Tig Notaro were awesome and we had a great time. Intern Aaron was funny, as well as special guest Doug Benson.  I made this quilted robot holding a bubbly beaker for Tig:

Quilts for Boston

These are the blocks I made for the Quilts for Boston projects coordinated by the Boston Modern Quilt Guild. Quilts for Boston is a relief effort by the Boston Modern Quilt guild to make quilts for those who were directly affected by the April 15, 2013 Boston Marathon bombings and subsequent events.

Check out their Flickr page for more awesome blocks photos.

Easter dress

I haven't made clothes since I was a teenager! It was so fun to get back into it and make this dress for my cousin Claire. I gave it to her at her 2nd birthday party and she wore it on Easter Sunday! So sweet!

Wedding gift from Jessica

My talented cousin Jessica at Splendid Calm Textiles made a beautiful king-sized quilt for Pete and me as a wedding gift. It is made from all Kona solids and it is so beautiful. Thank you for much, Jessica, for this sweet, thoughtful gift!

Jessica entered the quilt and was accepted into QuiltCon which was here in Austin February 21-24, 2013. The quilt was on display for the duration of the conference. It was so fun to 'have a quilt in the show'. I worked as a volunteer at the show and I was so happy to point it out to attendees who passed by.

X and Plus

Another quilt along has gone crazy on Instagram. These X and Plus blocks are quick and fun to make and they're using up my old scraps - hooray. I try to make a few of these 8-inch blocks at a time and eventually I'll have a huge, scrappy quilt. Check out more awesome blocks on Flickr.
