Springtime quilt

This is a quilt I made for Pete's toddler niece Cerys. I gave this to Cerys this past Christmas while she was probably buried in snow at her home in Minnesota. Hopefully the Moda Just Wing It! butterfly fabrics made her look foward to spring! This is a fun quilt pattern by Brenda Henning called Stir Crazy. I love using pre-cut 2.5" strips (jelly rolls) - they are so convenient.

Lordy lordy, look who's forty

One of my best friends, Jenn, turns 40 years old today. Happy birthday to you, girl! We had a blast celebrating last weekend with karaoke, drinks and a ton of fun. For my birthday last year Jenn gave me a roll of recycling-themed pre-cut 2.5" fabric strips and asked me to teach her how to make a quilt. I could see that this project was not going to happen any time soon so I took the liberty of making a postage stamp quilt for her with the strips.

I do not usually post so many pictuers of quilts but there are so many cute things going on in
this fabric. These penguins, deer, butterflies and giraffes are adorable.
